New Year at

Northwest african american museum

At the end of the year, I had the joy of hosting a vision board gathering at the Northwest African American Museum right here in Seattle. Twenty beautiful people — different ages, different backgrounds, different stories — came together like family. We shared heavy appetizers, a little wine, good drinks, and even better conversation. But baby, the real nourishment was the joy in that room.

We took our time setting intentions, inviting clarity, and giving ourselves permission to dream out loud. As everyone created their vision boards for the year ahead, you could feel something shift — that quiet confidence that comes when you remember who you are and what you deserve.

The space was alive with laughter, creativity, and that sweet spirit of community that feels like home. Folks weren’t just gluing pictures on paper. They were planting seeds, choosing possibility, and claiming a brighter path forward.
